To glorify God by providing affirming, transformative experiences for every student while building a sustainable robotics program
To develop professional-level skills and create lifelong, positive memories by investing ourselves in a competitive robotics program that represents our school and the cause of Christ in a positive way
2018 FRC Power Up
Our first competition this year took place in Gainesville, and here you can see our first match. We finished 26/40 robots and came home as Runner-Up to the UL Safety Award. We are rebuilding our robot’s gripper, doing more safety training and working on our image for our Competition in Columbus, March 22-24.
2017 State Competition
We are thankful to bring home the State UL Safety Award again this year! Way to go team! We really appreciate all of the input from our Sponsor, Delta Global Services, for helping us perfect our Safety Plan.
2017 Gainesville and Columbus Qualifiers
On Saturday 3/18/2017, our robot was chosen on Alliance 6 in the Columbus Event to compete in the Semi-Finals. See one of our exciting matches on the blue alliance here! We were blessed to come home with the UL Safety and Imagery Awards in both the Gainesville and Columbus competitions in addition to having two Deans List finalists and Safety of the Day Awards! We are now ranked 18th in the state! Way to go team! Thank you to all of the volunteers, sponsors, coaches and parents for making this possible!
2016 State Competition (FRC PCH District)
We are thankful and honored to bring home from the 2016 Georgia FIRST Peachtree State Competition, a Safety Star of the Day Award, which went to Hannah Rosenhack, the State Gracious Professionalism Award, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson and the State Industrial Safety Award, sponsored by Underwriters Laboratories. Thank you to these companies for inspiring us to be our best!
We finished the 2016 season at the state competition in Athens ranked 24th of 65 teams in the state of Georgia (see official rankings here). Thank you team, mentors, sponsors and volunteers for all of your hard work! Thank you Lord for a blessed 2016 season!
At the Kennesaw 2016 District Event, Rex Machina was given Safety Pit of the Day on Saturday and awarded the Entrepreneurship Award.
From the 2016 Peachtree District Columbus Event, we brought home Friday’s Safety Star of the Day Award, which went to Hannah Rosenhack & Kate Forde; the Imagery Award; Industrial Safety Award; and Dean’s List Finalist Award, which went to Hannah Rosenhack!
We won the Rookie All-Star Award at the FIRST Robotics Competition 2015 Peachtree Regional event in downtown Atlanta! We were so excited to also win the Industrial Safety Award at Peachtree Regional. See the awards ceremony where we are presented the Rookie All-Star Award and the Industrial Safety Award! Our robot didn’t stack totes as high as some, but we can tell you it’s true: FIRST is more than robots!
Our Rookie All-Star designation won us a spot at the 2015 international competition! This exciting event in St. Louis included over 600 FRC teams, and we got to be one of them. While there, we had loads of fun and even got a Pit Safety of the Day award, and got the award signed by FIRST founder Dean Kamen! It was an amazing event, and was a great way to end our rookie season.
Our team is powered by students from Trinity Christian School Tech Club. In 2015 and 2016, we hosted a series of summer camps. Students learned how to build and fly drones, build and program robots, write computer code and much more!
